About
In Work & In Life
Are you asking yourself, "Is this the right person for my project?"
Being able to trust the people you work with is crucial. But it's often challenging to know whether someone is a good fit without knowing something more about who they are.
So here's something more about me!
My interest and passion for art lies in its simple but profound ability to remind us what it is to be human. In my writing and research, I most enjoy opportunities to discover overlooked or forgotten perspectives, investigate and challenge traditional assumptions, and bring more nuance to the record of human experience.
In addition to my work and career labels, I am also a seventh-generation Texan, an elder millennial, a traveler, an activist, teacher, lifetime student, INFJ, humanitarian, star-gazer, six-time aunt, meme repository, animal lover, and ambitious plant custodian. I live and work on the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio.
In life, I find immense joy in the little, simple pleasures of our material existence. Creature comforts are a safe haven. Soft pillows, shaded hammocks, puppy breath kisses, iced coffee, warm tea. Finding the spot with perfect chips, queso, and cold beer on a hot day.
I love connecting deeply with other people, but also regularly crave time for solitude and reflection. Writing is both my profession and personal outlet of expression and creativity. Spending time in nature helps me recharge. If I could be anywhere in the world, it would be on a beach. But maybe not in Galveston.
